There aren't any restrictions on the group size as long as the location is big enough and will allow everyone's face to be visible. We've captured portraits of 250+ individuals. Our studio size, however, will only support group portraits of up to 5 people.
We're happy for you to wear whatever you feel comfortable in and which reflects your personality. However, we advise clients to wear casual clothing that's relatively neutral instead of the latest fashion, which can easily date the photographs. We also advise clients to avoid striking patterns, spots, and brand names as this can distract the eye and take the attention away from people's faces. Think texture OVER print. Big, bold, and crazy patterns distract from your face, especially in photos. Textures, however, photograph beautifully. Textures are cable knit, denim, lace, tulle, chiffon, velvet, and even fur. Also, if you must have a print, consider pairing it with a cardigan or a texture to tone the photo around your face. Bring a range. While we may only photograph you in 5 outfits, bring 20. We'll put things together at your arrival, and who knows? Maybe I'll even put together options you haven't tried yet!
For each event, the number of images will vary greatly depending on the photo session duration, the number of guests, the light conditions, etc. You should expect between 200 and 500 retouched and color-corrected images for a typical event.
Yes! Some photographers will hold you, hostage forever and never release their high-resolution files. Some will only provide watermarked samples in low resolution. Some will provide files that can't be enlarged beyond 8x10. Some will prohibit you from posting images on your personal blog or Facebook page. We don't play these games. You will be provided with professionally retouched digital images in a non-watermarked, high-resolution format suitable for future printing, framing, social media sharing, web posting, and archival.
Photographs are typically more "elongated" than typical mat openings and usually have a 1.5 height-to-width image ratio. The best approach is to order your prints based on the format of the photographs. 2:3 aspect ratio: 2x3, 4x6, 8x12, 10x15, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36 4:5 aspect ratio: 4x5, 8x10, 11x12, 16x20, 20x25, 24x40 5x7 aspect ratio: 5x7, 10x14, 15x21, 20x28
Feel free to post images on your Blog, Instagram, or Facebook page. Of course, mentioning our names when publishing images online is always appreciated. It is a nice gesture but not an obligation.
Yes, we have a collection of various sizes of caps, gowns, drapes, and tuxedos. If we do not have your particular size, we'll obtain it.
It is recommended that light makeup will be sufficient. Portrait photography emphasizes natural beauty, and our studio assures the highest quality according to recognized Professional Photographer's Association (PPA) standards. Our photographers' skills and lighting control, and technology work to enhance your natural beauty.
Depending on the session's requirements, the number of individuals, backdrops, and outfits, a shoot can take between 15 minutes to 3 hours. We believe in spending quality time: every photograph is meticulously arranged to ensure that time is optimized for a positive experience.
Photos are usually available within a week. Our studio ensures that all portraits follow a thorough pre and post-development process, which includes stringent quality control before final production. This guarantees that you receive a delicately crafted, timeless art piece of the highest quality to cherish for a lifetime.
There is plenty of parking available. There's a single step into the studio that some might need to consider.
Yes, We are fully insured with professional indemnity and public liability insurance.
We constantly update our blog and website. We may want to use some of your images for this, but you can rest assured we will ask for permission first and get a model release from you. We always respect your privacy; if you do not want this, that's fine.
Images are delivered via cloud storage. We routinely delete photos to clear up space. Because of this, images may not be available after 30 days. We'd verify that you successfully downloaded the photos before deleting them. We have a secure, password-protected Online digital gallery that you can share with family & friends. This is typically the first stage after the shoot, usually within two weeks; in this order, you can choose at leisure in the comfort of your own home what photos you would like.
You will get high-resolution digital files. Typically, they are at least 2400x3600 pixels. We first conduct quality control on the images and perform a 1st order edit involving cropping and color correction. Each package contains 5 additional modifications. For this, you'd provide us with image numbers, and we'll give other blemishes and object removal (if needed).
Under the Copyright, Designs, and Patents Act 1988, the Copyright remains with the photographer. It is illegal to copy or scan the images without written permission. However, we do offer digital packages should you wish to share your images.
All our bookings are scheduled at a convenient time and date before the shoot. This can be done via a link to my online booking calendar, or give me a call, and we'll be happy to arrange one for you.
Yes, we use several highly qualified makeup artists that are simply fantastic. They will work with you to provide whatever look you require. This will be charged at their regular hourly rate.
We love to have lots of people around the studio as it creates a great vibe.
Yes, we can provide printing services. However, the main benefit of high-resolution images is the ability to produce prints independently. We understand that many people would rather avoid the hassle of crops, aspect ratios, paper type, etc. No worries, we'd be glad to offer printing services. My suppliers deal with album printing, canvas wall art, all prints, etc. Please feel free to ask about what I can supply for you. This can all be done via the online gallery.
I have over 20 years of offering professional photography services.
Our main backgrounds are White (High Key), Black, and textured gray. We also have greenscreen chromakey backgrounds that offer unlimited options.
Definitely, yes, we have many years of experience in image editing.

Yes, we have stools and chairs.
YES! And we hope you do!
For outdoor/natural light photography, we prefer to shoot when the sun is not directly overhead. Therefore, we tend to schedule early morning or after 2pm. This is not a show stopper as we use fill flash to mitigate harsh shadows.
We do not offer cancellations or refunds, only rescheduling. You may reschedule up to 48 hours before your booking time. If your rental time is 24 hours or less and you must cancel or reschedule, your session will be non-transferable.
We usually offer a 30 min buffer between bookings to handle this.
This is on a case-by-case basis! We LOVE furry babies, but please email us if you are thinking of bringing someone special.
